Martha Christine Roland Hogan, 96 of Ardmore, Tennessee died on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at National Health Care Center for Pulaski , Tennessee.
Born Friday, September 26, 1919 in Athens, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Luther Upshaw Roland and the late Mae Wallace Roland. She was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Thaniel (Dub) Hogan, brothers: Clifford & Charles Roland, and sister: Josephine Mitchell. She was an avid gardner, loved to travel and shop. She loved shoes and spending time with her family. She also loved gospel music and especially Elvis.
Surviving are daughter, Nellie Smith of Ardmore, AL, brother, Ollie (Polly) Roland of Ardmore, TN, sisters, Julia Hargrove of Clarksville, TN and Rebecca Brock of Ardmore, TN, grandchildren: Kim (Butch) Sutton of Ardmore, TN, Tim (Cathy) Smith of Madison, AL, great-grandchildren: Kristen (Neal) Gatlin and Kyle (Landria) Smith, gr-gr-grandchildren: Peyton Preston and Ann Marie Gatlin and nieces: Paulette Mitchell of Ardmore, TN and Linda (Jim) Keith of Ardmore, TN, Barbara (Jack) Darke of Clarksville, TN, and Leonard (Ella) Roland of Peabody, MA.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Alan Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
