Funeral service for Martha Bentley, 80, will be Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Stone officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hamby’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bentley died on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born December 6, 1936, in Cullman County to Emern Holmes and Clyde Maddux Holmes. She was a member of of Hamby’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was employed by Sarah’s Grocery as a store clerk. Martha was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two siblings: Emern Holmes Jr. and Hughes Holmes.
