Marsha Dean Rooker passed away on December 7, 2023, at UAB Hospital. She was born on June 30, 1954, in Athens, Alabama to Edward and Louise Claunch.
She is survived by her son, Miles (Kelly) Mateyko; daughters, Chantal Mateyko and Crystal (Marquez) Marbury; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Louise Claunch; husband, Phillip Rooker; son, Patrick Mateyko; and sister, Shirley Lewis.
Mrs. Rooker loved her dogs, as well as loved to play the guitar and banjo. She also loved watching Nascar and Tennessee football.
A visitation will be held for Mrs. Rooker on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. A chapel service will be held the following day on Monday, December 11, at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
