Marquin Nathaniel Russell (Lil Marquin) age 28th, of Florence, Alabama was born on January 22, 1995, in Huntsville, Alabama. He was called home to be with his Lord on August 7, 2023. He will be greatly missed!
Lil Marquin was known for his charisma and charm. His beautiful, bright, brown eyes seemed to look into the souls of all who knew him. He quickly made friends and won the hearts of everyone he met.
Marquin was an excellent student and a tremendous athlete. He was a Washington State high school champion in the 400 and revered as the fastest kid in Washington. He loved sports, fishing, and binging Netflix.
He attended Florence City Schools, Lakewood High School in Lakewood, Washington, and the University of Montana. He also served as a Machinist Mate in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Darby Doors at the time of his death.
Marquin adored his family, and he cherished spending time with his friends. Playing with his nieces and nephew brought him joy. They loved him dearly!
Marquin was fascinated with time.

He is preceded in death by; Grandmother, Betty Fay Abbou (AKA Ma); Grandfather, Edward Nathaniel Martin; and Aunt, Shana Rogers.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12th at Eastside Church of Christ 600 E Tombigbee Street, Florence AL 35630 at 1pm.
