lindonMarlon Lindon Michael, age 72, of Florence, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015. Visitation will be Saturday, January 24, from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. A graveside service will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m., with Clay Richardson officiating. Lindon loved to play the guitar and bluegrass music. He was a member of the Dixie Bluegrass Boys. He was retired from Bigbee Steel Buildings and was a member of Lee Heights Baptist Church. He adored his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerrie Dison Michael; mother, Elizabeth Michael; brother, Hobert Michael; sister, Sherea White; mother-in-law, Threngie Dison; brother-in-law, Ricky Dison; and sisters-in-law, Diane Michael and Nancy Michael. He is survived by his son, Sammy Michael (Allyssa); daughter, Melissa Moore (Jeff); father, Hollis Michael; sister, Shirley Robertson (Dick); brother, Tonnis Michael (Janet); brother, Jay Michael (Barbara); sisters-in-law, Lavern Wallace (L.D.) and Peggy English (Trent); brother-in-law, Mickey Dison; grandchildren, Nicholas Michael (Alana), Samantha Frederick (Cale), Christopher Michael, Jessica Nowlin (Tyler), and Matthew Moore; great-grandchildren, Audrey, Jameson & Walker Michael, Claire, Connor & Christopher Frederick, and Carson & Maddox Nowlin; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Michael, Christopher Michael, Matthew Moore, Cale Frederick, Tyler Nowlin, and Mickey Dison. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his memory to your favorite charity. A special thank you to Dr. Felix Morris and the nurses on the 6th floor of ECM Hospital for their care and concern for him and us during these last days.
