Mrs. Marlene Solomon, 90 of Morrison, TN, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Willow Branch Health & Rehab in McMinnville, TN. She was born on October 31, 1933 in Beech Grove, Tennessee, attended secretarial school, and was a retired accountant with Parhams CPA in Stephenville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband James Solomon, parents O.D. Simmons and Pearl Bush Simmons, brother Ralph Simmons, and son-in-law David Wood.
Survivors include her daughters Margina Wood of Morrison, TN and Teresa (Mike) Turner of Shreveport, LA, sisters Virginia Millraney and Janice (Eldie) Ferrell, grandchildren Michael (Mariah) Bruce, Barry (Melissa) Bruce, Tyler (Ashley) Niswanger, and Heather Niswanger, and great grandchildren Austin Bruce, Ty Bruce, Kinsley Bruce, Bryson Bruce, Aaron Bruce, Dustin Bruce, Ivy Hanson, and Finley Niswanger.
A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Andrew Coppinger will officiate. Interment will immediately follow. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery as there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlene’s memory may be made to Gentiva Hospice.
