A Celebration of Life Service for Mark Morelock, 89 of Rienzi, MS, will be Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 2:00 P M at Antioch #2 Baptist Church with interment to follow in Hinkle Baptist Church Cemetery in Rienzi, MS. Bro David George will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – South on Hwy 45 South and Sunday, September 1, 2024 from 1:00 P M until service time at Antioch #2 Baptist Church. Mr. Morelock passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at his residence. He was born November 21, 1934 in Corinth, MS to Samuel Jackson Morelock and Dorothy Godwin Morelock. He was an Organ Technician at Wurlitzer for many years and a member of Antioch #2 Baptist Church. Mark was a former Sunday School teacher for 45 years at Rienzi Baptist Church. He loved fishing, hunting and cutting firewood, but his passion was working on organs, especially church organs. Mark is survived by his wife of 70 years, Martha Mills Morelock; his son, James John Morelock (Donna); his daughter, Janice Morelock Bearden (Jimmy); five grandchildren, Jamy Lyne Essary (Richie), John Mark Morelock (Aubrey), Dustin Morelock (Nikita), Lacy Jean Shields (Joseph) and Ashley Morelock; nine great grandchildren; his brothers, John William Morelock (Peggy) and Donnie Joe Morelock; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Morelock; his father, Sam Morelock; his mother Dorothy Godwin Morelock; his brother, June Morelock and his sisters, Clara Faye Perrigo and Geneva Mae Childness. Pallbearers will be John Mark Morelock, Dustin Morelock, Bralen Morelock, Eli Morelock, Riley Clack, Karson Clack and Joe Shields. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Mark Morelock.
