Mark Edwin Bowen, 65, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the North MS Medical Center. He was born August 4, 1958 in Farmington, New Mexico to Hansel and Doris Marie Bowen. He spent his career in the furniture industry. Starting out at Action Industries moving on to Vice President of Sales of Peopleoungers, Inc. Mark spent the last twenty five years as an independent sales representative. He enjoyed traveling and being outdoors but his passion was being on the water on his boat. His greatest joy was spending time with his beloved grandchildren Bowen and West, earning him his most favorite title, “Popeye”.

Visitation will be 2-4pm and Services at 4pm on Sunday May 26th at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Anna Muffi Bowen of Tupelo; his three children, Alexandria B. McCoy (Blake) of Guntown, MS; Mark E. Bowen, II of Oxford, MS; and Ginger V. Bowen of Destin, FL; his brothers Terry Bowen of Chattanooga, TN, David Bowen (Karen) of Saltillo, MS; Jeff Bowen (Angie) of Nettleton, MS and one sister
Missy Tomason (Ross) of Smithville, MS; many wonderful nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren, Emery Bowen McCoy and Weston Blake McCoy, II.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be David Bowen, Jeff Bowen, Terry Bowen, Blake McCoy and Mark Bowen, II.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.
