With both deep sadness and joy, we announce Mark Edward LoPresti entered the gates of Heaven on September 15, 2023, at the age of 73. Mark was a loving husband to his wife of 21 years, Deborah LoPresti, and a devoted father to his sons, Zac LoPresti (Zac’s wife Shana), Jeremy LoPresti and Roy LoPresti (Roy’s wife Breanna) and daughters, Sabrina LoPresti and Josilyn LoPresti and grandsons, Joshua, Aaron, Jacob LoPresti and Xavier LoPresti. Mark was preceded in death by a daughter, Meredith LoPresti.
Mark was born to parents Quint Vincent Jr. and Martha LoPresti (deceased) and is survived by sisters, Janet Routon and Kim Miranda.
Mark was a devoted spouse and parent, always putting family first. He was an avid bass fisherman and hunter, he enjoyed hiking and loved spending time creating memories with loved ones that will be cherished forever. Many knew Mark for his kindness, generosity, and especially his sense of humor. His positive attitude and playful personality brightened the lives of everyone who knew him.
Mark served valiantly in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, in a civilian capacity during Operation Desert Storm of multiple service branches and was an accomplished commercial truck driver working at Safeway Industrial Services – at one time regularly driving for country and western superstar George Strait. Mark and his wife had been acting upon plans to form a non-profit ranch where troubled war veterans could find peace while engaging in ranch activities in the great outdoors.
We will always remember Mark and his significant impact on our lives. You will be forever missed and never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Word Alive International Outreach, 122 Allendale Road, Oxford, AL 36203, on Sunday, October 8th at 3:00 p.m. with visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
