Mr. Mark Alan Griswold Mr. Mark Alan Griswold, 60, entered into the eternal glory of his Heavenly Father on November 11, 2019. Mark was one of five children and family was always very important to him. Mark was born in Chattanooga, TN, but moved and grew up in Scottsboro, AL, as a young child. He attended schools in Scottsboro, and graduated from Scottsboro High School in 1977.
Mark grew up enjoying life on the lake; he enjoyed fishing or just being on a boat in general, but he really loved to water ski. Shortly after high school, Mark became a Journeyman Electrician and was a member of IBEW – Local Union 175 in Chattanooga and worked as an electrician all over the southeast. He was an avid football fan, but especially loved watching his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide. Mark had two adult children, a son, Zachary, and a daughter, Christina, and several grandchildren that he loved dearly. Mark was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Chattanooga, TN.
Mark’s parents, Kenneth and Elizabeth Griswold and sisters, Carolyn Sliger and Jackie Ables preceded him in death.
Mark is loved and survived by his two children, Zach (Lydia) Griswold and Christina Gifford; grandchildren Cash Griswold; Cecilia, Stephanie, Samuel, and Ameiah Gifford. Also, surviving Mark are his brothers Rick (Mary), and John (Ann) Griswold, and numerous nephews, nieces, and great-nephews/nieces.
Mark rarely met a stranger will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all that loved him. We rest in the comfort that those that are saved will see him again one day at that grand reunion.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 16, 2019, from 11:00 am to 2:00 p.m. (CST) at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens, Scottsboro, AL.
