Marjorie Riley Marshall passed away on Jan. 8, 2014, peaceably at home. She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Selva Max Riley, of Kansas City, Mo.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Herbert Charles Marshall Jr.; four sons, Richard Allan and wife, Linda Jordan Marshall, of Tampa, Fla., Herbert Max and wife, Lucy Larson Marshall, of Greenville, S.C., Charles Riley and wife, Martha Brannon Marshall, of Cary, N.C., and Tom Fussell and wife, Kit Browning Marshall, of Birmingham, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Allan, Megan, Jennifer, Libby, Katie, and Evan Marshall; two stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was a charter member of Edgemont United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her family, her tennis, bridge, and sewing club friends.
A memorial service and family visitation will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at Edgemont United Methodist Church, Florence.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Edgemont Methodist Church memorial fund or a charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Marjorie Marshall.
