Margie was born to the late James Frost and Janie Baker in Hamilton, Ohio, and grew up with a love for music, faith, and family that shaped her life.

Margie met the love of her life, Dennis Lewis, while he was playing in a music group with his father. Their love story blossomed, and they married on July 14, 1951. Together, they traveled across the United States, spreading their love and faith while raising a family filled with joy and devotion.

During their time in Ohio, Margie worked for GE for many years, while Dennis passionately shared the word of the Lord. Margie stood steadfastly by his side as his greatest supporter. Her remarkable talent as an alto singer found its home in the Christian band The Reflections. The couple, along with their family, traveled far and wide, performing and ministering to those who shared their faith.

Margie was more than a wife and performer; she was the cornerstone of her family. As a nurturing and wise matriarch, she taught her grandchildren essential life skills, from tying their shoes to writing letters, cooking, and minding their manners. To her children and grandchildren, she was a guiding light, the “rock” they leaned on, and the greatest role model they could ask for.

Margie and Dennis were often seen tending to their yard together, ensuring their lawn was pristine and their flowers vibrant. It was a simple yet profound reflection of their partnership and love for life’s beauty. Margie’s family will forever cherish memories of her feisty humor, her warm and loving nature, and the comfort she provided to everyone in her life.

Her life was a testament to faith, love, and family, and her legacy will endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Margie is survived by her loving children; Linda Ragsdale, Maynard (Linda) Lewis, Denise (Jimbo) Thomas, and Melanie (Jamie) Olmstead; grandchildren: Jennifer (Brian) Haley, Robby (Malia) Newkirk, Amberlin “Lewis” Hailey, Adrian (Cynthia) Lewis, Jonathan (Lauren) Stewart, Darion (Will) Woodard, Megan (Amos) Wilkinson, and Chelsey (Hunter) LeMay; great-grandchildren: David Haley, Crystal Haley, Ainsley Hailey, Teresa Newkirk, Austin Newkirk, Jayden Lewis, Leslie Lewis, Ethan Lewis, Chaslyn Stewart, Paitley Craig, Tessa Stewart, Finleigh Woodard, Cooper Woodard, Nolan Woodard, Makynzie Niehaus, Payton Niehaus, Aislee Wilkinson, Alexia Wilkinson, and Laiklyn Wilkinson.
