Marjorie Canup, 101, Riverside, CA, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 1, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bart Bowlin officiating. Interment will be in Red Bay City Cemetery.
Marjorie was a member of Sheffield Methodist Church. She owned and operated Marjorie’s Draperies in Riverside, CA. An avid gardener, Marjorie was a member of Rivermont Garden club and a lifetime member of Garden Clubs of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Arnold Thomas “Diz” Canup; and children, Arnold Thomas Canup, Jr., and Jackson Barton Canup.
Marjorie is survived by her son, David Canup (Jeanie); grandchildren, Justin Canup (Leslie), Paul Canup (Keifa), Bonnie Bledsoe, Alexander Canup, and Cole Canup; and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Justin Canup and Alexander Canup.
David Canup, Paul Canup, and Cole Canup will serve as honorary pallbearers.
