Marjorie Bernice Barksdale, 89, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Burns Nursing Home in Russellville, AL. She was born in Vina, AL to Jesse B.Upton and Dorothy Budington. She was a homemaker and member of Pilot Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 15, 1 p.m. at Pilot Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two sons, Alan Barksdale (Donna) and Alton Barksdale (Rhonda); grandchildren, Keesha Lindley (Anthony), Ryan Barksdale (Anna), Alison Montanaro (Tony), Will Barksdale (Jordan) and Emily Barksdale and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Barksdale; her father and mother and two sisters, Ruth Lofton and Wanda Anderson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 15, 11-1 at Pilot Hill Baptist Church.
