Funeral service for Mariza Vallejo Delatorre, 54, will be Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Delatorre passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born August 1, 1969, in Cook County, Illinois, to Hector Vallejo and Sanjuana Trevino Vallejo.
She was employed by the Northeast Morgan County Water and Sewer Authority as an Office Manager and Customer Service Rep, prior to her passing. Mariza was the pillar of her family. as everyone’s favorite hostess, she loved throwing fun events and fabulous vacations for her family and friends. Her love of traveling and knack for planning guaranteed that everyone around her would have the time of their lives- every time. She not only lit up every room she walked in, her contagious laugh warmed hearts all around the world. Everyone in Mariza’s life felt as if they were her favorite – favorite parent, sibling, daughter, son-in-law, grandchild, sister-in-law, cousin, aunt, niece and friend. She touched the lives of all who entered her world. Mariza was a wonderful and loving mother who was always there when the girls (and their friends) needed her. She will be terribly missed.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Ana Leticia Delatorre.
