Graveside service for Marion Spurlock Welch, 85, of Hartselle will be today, September 20, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Cemetery with the Reverend John McPeek officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Welch died on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at her residence. She was born Sunday, May 20, 1928. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey W. Welch.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry A. Welch (Debbie) and Jim D. Welch (JoAnn); one brother, Harold Byers;
four grandchildren, Jamie Seal (Chris) of Hartselle, Allen Welch (Jennifer) of Montpelier, Va., Kevin Welch (Terry) of Aylett, Va., and Michelle Herring (Josh), New Kent, Va.; and five great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to Lynne Welch for her love, support and devotion to the entire family, caregiver and friend, Augusta Webster, for her loving care and patience, and to the wonderful staff of Hospice of the Valley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley or Salem Methodist Church Cemetery.
