The final wish of Marion Louise Sharp on her 100th birthday was to be with her Lord Jesus Christ in heaven soon, and she got her wish on Saturday May 9, 2015.
She was born September 30th, 1914 at Carbon Hill, Alabama. Louise was a resident of El Reposo nursing facility in Greenhill, Alabama at her passing. Her hometown was Sheffield, Alabama. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sheffield.
Visitation will be Monday, May 11, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home chapel, with Chad Holder officiating. A family committal service will be at 1:00 p.m. at Greenhill Cemetery, with Greg Woodard officiating.
Mrs. Sharp is survived by her son Jack Williams of Wichita Kansas, Jennie Williams daughter-in-law Muscle Shoals Alabama and Becky Hodgson (neice) Carbon Hill, Alabama, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Talbert Sharp 25 years and Alfred V. Williams 36 years, three sons, one daughter, and one granddaughter.
Louise was an accomplished pianist and organist; she played for several churches during her travels in Tennessee and Alabama. As a young girl in high school, she won first place in a piano recital contest in Jasper Alabama. Mrs. Sharp was an LPN nurse at Helen Keller hospital for 10 years.
