Marion Emogene Barton, 87, of Germantown, Tennessee, died on Monday, August 19, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Emogene was of the Baptist faith and was a longtime member of Germantown Baptist Church. In her free time, she loved gardening and working in her yard. Mrs. Emogene is survived by her husband of 42 years, Frank Barton; her daughter, Bonita Claunch (Billy); her grandson, Rodney Cornelison (Angie); her great-grandchildren, Austin Cornelison and Ali Cornelison; her siblings, Doyle Booker, Maudie Short, and Kenneth Booker; and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Lee Booker; and her brother, Roy Booker. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, officiated by Bro. Terry Booker. Pallbearers include Rodney Cornelison, Austin Cornelison, Robert Yager, Jason Smith, Cecil Smith, and Joey Smith. Interment will be in Snowdown Cemetery. Memorials can be made in Mrs. Emogene’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
