Marilyn was the cherished daughter of Clarence Houchen and Evelyn Houchen McAninch of Peculiar, MO, and one of six siblings. In 1969, Marilyn married Gerald H. Jantzen, with whom she shared many years until their divorce in 1982. Later, she found joy and companionship with Eugene “Gene” Robinett, with whom she spent 24 years in Grandview, MO, until Gene’s passing in 2015.

Marilyn’s life was defined by her deep love for her family and her devotion to helping others. She was happiest when baking, gardening, sewing, solving puzzles, or volunteering her time at the local VFW and church food pantry. Known for her lively spirit and her generous heart, Marilyn was always ready to lend a hand, arriving a little late but with a big smile and even bigger love. She loved dancing, had a feisty spirit, and an unfailing dedication to making sure those around her knew they were loved.

She was preceded in death by her son Eric Sean Jantzen.

Marilyn leaves behind a loving family, including her four children, Jaime Jantzen Lee (John), Derrick Jantzen, Jillian Jantzen, and Janine Jantzen, as well as nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her brothers Bob, Edgar (Geraldine), Herb, and Louis (Cheryl) Houchen, and her sister Christine Murray (Bill) remember her with love and admiration.

As she reunites with the Lord, her parents, her son and her beloved Gene, her family reflects on her enduring legacy of kindness, strength, and love. “We love you bestest, Mom. We’ll see you again someday.”
