Ms. Marie Whitehead passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the age of 73.
She is survived by her daughters, Regina M. Jones (Andrew), Sabrina M. Smith; son, Jeremy S. Smith (Susan); grandchildren, Joesph Shay Smith, Jacob Sampson Smith, Dawn Irene Maples, David Tucker Maples, Mason Andrew Jones, Rory Marie Jones.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband Preston Wayne Whitehead; parents, William G and Irene Gibson; brothers, Roy Gibson, John F. Gibson, William E. Gibson, Howard Gibson; sisters, Virginia Paradise, Elizabeth Dudley, Vola Mae Morgan.
Pallbearers are Shay Smith, Jacob Smith, David Maples, Mason Jones, Dawn Maples, and Rory Jones.
Funeral Service will be held at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Roger Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Gant Cemetery. The visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
