Marie Tidwell Whitman, age 84 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away October 17, 2024. She was a member of Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday, October 21, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Terry Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathan Whitman, Kenon Whitman, Austin Whitman, Chad Cooper, Tommy Sanders and John Blanton.
Ms. Whitman is survived by her children, James Whitman (Sandra), Tommy Whitman (Rosa Smith), Donna Emerson and Kenny Whitman (Lynn); brother, Billy Tidwell (Gayle); grandchildren, Nathan Whitman (Holly), Holly Cooper (Chad), Kenon Whitman (Brady), Brittney Sanders (Tommy) and Kristen Blanton (John); great grandchildren, Grant, Natalie and Norah Whitman, Austin and Halie Whitman, Ava & Luke Cooper, Beckham and Keeton Whitman, Blakely Wood, Maddi West (Hayden), Scarlett Colburn, Chloe Sanders, Malachi Blanton, Micah Blanton and Makale Blanton; and great great grandchildren, Baylor West and baby girl Whitman (on the way).
She is preceded in death by her parents, Coleman and Lucille Tidwell; husband, Cranford Whitman; one infant brother and infant sister, Mathel Tidwell grandson, Daryl Whitman; and special friend, Junior Mize.
