Marie Teresa McDonald, age 60, wife of Dennis McDonald, and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at her residence.
Born on February 13, 1964, in San Jose, California, Teresa was the daughter of the late Ynes Sam Vega and the late Bernice Cortez Vega. On June 25, 2016, Teresa married Dennis McDonald, with whom she shared many cherished memories. Whether she was playing Solitaire on her phone, cheering on the Tennessee Vols and Titans, or enjoying a drink with friends, Teresa’s joy for life was infectious. She loved to tell stories, laugh, and share gossip with others. Above all, Teresa’s greatest love was her family. She cherished her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother, and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Her beauty radiated from her warm smile and her generous spirit, which will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Teresa was of the Christian faith and found peace in her beliefs.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Christopher Sam (Amy) Vega of Spring Hill, TN, Lauren Nicole Minatra of Pulaski, TN, Candace Miller of Pulaski, TN, Shane Dunaway of Huntsville, AL, brother, David Vega, sisters, Dolores (Ken) Holladay, Virginia Souder, Victoria Mock, Elizabeth Barona, grandchildren, Katy Vega, Alaina Miller, Alyssa Miller, Allen Miller, Ethan Sam Vega, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother in law, Glenn Souder.
The family will celebrate her life with a private service at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
