Marie Simmons Vickers, 83, of Huntsville, passed away Monday, December 28.
Mrs. Vickers was a long time member of the Huntsville Holiness Church for 70 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Vickers; daughters, Teresa Walls (Maurice) and Tina Yant (Paul); grandchildren, Whitney Jones (Brett), Sara Beaverson (Ryan), and Ben Walls (Krystalynn); great grandchildren, Breanna Putman (Jaret), Brenee Jones, Andrew Beaverson, Jackson Beaverson, Aiden Fitch, Huntington Walls, Remington Walls, and Sarah Kate Beaverson; great-great grandchildren, Oakley, Owen, and Oliver Putman; siblings, Ora Bell Gray and Buddy Simmons, Jr. (Janie); and several nieces and nephews. Marie is preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Bessie Simmons; and her siblings, Eddie Simmons, Lizzie Drake, James H. Simmons, Maudie Mae O’Dell, Paul Simmons, and Bernice Medlen.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 2 at 2 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral home with Brother Patrick Price officiating. Burial will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Comfort Care Hospice or to the Huntsville Holiness Church Building Fund.
