Memorial services for Ms. Marie Maness, age 79, are scheduled for 1PM, on Saturday February 20, 2016 at Union Baptist Church. Ms. Marie passed away on Friday February 12, 2016 in Parsons, TN. Born October 23, 1936 in Chesterfield, TN to the late Glennie Maness and Barbara Woods Hardin, Ms. Marie was a factory worker, waitress, and Union Representative. Ms. Marie was a member of Union Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting and walking at the Lexington Civic Center, and enjoyed gardening and loved her birds. Ms. Marie was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Smith, and four brothers; Ed Jowers, Unice Jowers, Howard Maness, and Nicky Hardin. Survivors include her two sons, Roy Dale Smith of Tulsa, OK and Danny Ray Smith of Nashville, TN, her daughters, Terri McCormick of Lexington, TN and Teresa Johnson of Carmi, IL; four brothers; Glenn Dale Maness of California, Larry Woods of Darden, TN, Gary Hardin of Lexington, TN, and Jerry Hardin of Huntingdon, TN, 14 grandchildren; Adam, Amanda, and Allan Smith, Sabrina Jones, Amber Holloway, Branson, Brennon, Joshua, Justin, Jerimy, Jacob, and Dylan Smith, Trestan and Ally Carter, and 13 great grandchildren.
