Marie Hill Cooper, 84, of Hazel Green, passed away Thursday.

Marie was known for being an amazing cook and an immaculate housekeeper. She prepared delicious meals for family and friends and carried food to the sick. She was a talented seamstress who made her own clothes as well as clothes for her daughter, grandchildren, and others. She helped in growing lots of fruits and vegetables which were canned, frozen or shared with friends and neighbors. Her yard was perfection as well with lots of beautiful flowers and landscaping. She and her chicken and dumplins will surely be missed.

She was preceded in death by husband of 64 years, Kenneth Cooper; parents, Walter & Era Drake Hill; son-in-law, Tony Priest; brothers, Shelby, Nolan, and Jerrel Hill; sister, Kathleen Cooper; brother-in-law, William Cooper; and sisters-in-law, Mildred and Diane Hill.

Surviving are daughter, Pamela (Larry) Taylor; grandchildren, Jonathan (Bree) Priest and Bethany (Robby) Schrimsher; great grandchildren, Beau and Sailor Priest, Jacey (Russell) Wooten, Jordyn, Ellis, and Stetson Schrimsher; sister-in-law, Linda Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home, Sunday at 2:00 PM with Bro. Mitchell Holman and Jonathan Priest officiating.

Interment will be in Hayden Cemetery.
