Marie Franks, 95, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Southern Magnolia, Golden, MS. She was born in Itawamba County, MS to Nolan and Arvillia Stockton Farris. She worked at Blue Bell and was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bay, AL.
Services will be Wednesday, March 27, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Larry Hill officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by one daughter, Sheila Smith (Larry); granddaughter, Amber Williams (Ben); great-grandchildren, Caleb Williams, Bethany Williams and Seth Williams; two sisters, Lorene Pierce (Billy) and Mary Ellen Rice; one brother, Rabon Farris; three step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tulon Franks; a sister, Earlene Jackson and brothers, Kenneth Farris and Kermit Farris.
Pallbearers will be J.P. Rice, J.L. Jackson, Tommy Farris, Timmy Jackson, Mike Pierce and Jody Farris.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 27, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
