Marie Fort Heatherly, age 86, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at The Waters of Springfield. In accordance with her wishes her remains will be cremated. Her cremains will be buried in the Springfield Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Mrs. Heatherly was born May 31, 1938 in Cheatham County, TN to the late John B. and Alice Dickerson Fort. She was a homemaker and member of the Coopertown Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Heatherly is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dallas Healtherly, her son, Charles E. Heatherly, daughter, Barbara Heatherly Kinnard, brother, Johnny Fort, and sister, Virginia Fort James.
Mrs. Heatherly is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Heatherly Morris and Tony Morris, Sr.; sisters, Dorothy Fort Wilson and Frances Fort; seven grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
