Marie Elaine Mays, 76, of Kodak, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Elaine worked as a secretary for the Sevier County bus garage for many years and stayed there until retirement. She was a very kind and generous woman. She found a friend in every person she met and loved like no other. Elaine was very talented with ceramics and enjoyed making them for well over 50 years. She was also an avid collector, and her snowman collection was her favorite. Elaine absolutely adored all animals and leaves behind her beloved yorkie, Charlie. She is also survived by her very good friends, Ronnie and Denise Vaughn, and Martha, Chip, and Rick Flohe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin “Gene” Mays; and her parents, Verna Gault and Lloyd Samuel Traylor, Jr. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2024, in Oak Grove Cemetery, officiated by Bro. James Rich.
