Marie Davenport Yaeger, age 77, of Leighton, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 11, 10:00 a.m.-noon at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ted Vafeas and Brother Charlie James officiating. Interment will be at Hatton Baptist Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Peebles, Lee Barnes, Joe Bevis and Joe Swinney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Yaeger; and son-in-law, Steven Lee Ticer. Survivors include, children, Brenda Brewer (Barry), Melanie Love (David), Jason Yaeger; grandchildren, Chris Ticer (Beth), Bryan Long (Robbie), Jessica Marie Love; 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Yaeger was retired from Colbert County Board of Education as a school bus driver. She was a vendor at Galaxy Flea Market for 30 years and supervisor at a garment factory for 15 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hatton Baptist Church.
