Funeral service for Maria Yvette Parker Wallace Parker, 67, will be Friday, October 11, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Anthony Patterson, Bro. Frankie Sheats and Bro. Steve Bryan officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery, in Cullman County. Visitation will be Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ms. Parker died on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at her residence. Maria was born Friday, June 21, 1946, in Cullman County to Clyde Felton Parker and Viola Pearson. She retired from Calhoun Community College as an Adminstrative Secretary after 38 years of full time service and 4 years of part time. She was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister: Betty Parker Bukley and husband: Ed.
Survivors include her loving Daughter: Michelle Wallace Maples and husband Dale.
One Grandson, Avery Maples, who was her doll and pride and joy:
A niece: Donna Bukley Burt (Dan)
Great Nephews: Dustan and Otto Burt
A number of cousins whom she thought the world of, and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Gary England, Brad Sheats, Johnny Mack Brown, Bobby Ashley, Keith Brown, Rodger Brown, Jim Blankenship and Derrick Blankenship
