Mrs. Gaudette professed her faith in Christ at the Church of St. Lawrence O’ Toole in Hartford, CT and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pulaski. Marguerite attended the New England School of Hair Dressing in Hartford, CT. In addition to raising four children full-time, she spent many years working at Catos and Tommy’s Jewels and was known for her honesty and skill as a salesperson. Marguerite loved to travel, shop and will be remembered for her enjoyment of good food, desserts and her ability to make us laugh with her comments on any given subject. She was a talented seamstress, an excellent cook and loved to be spoiled by her children.
She is predeceased by her husband and one true love of her life, Gerard (Gerry) Gaudette; parents, Conrad and Albertine Albert; Paul and Eva Gaudette, devoted sister Catherine (Kay) A. Burns, sisters Jeannine Michaud and Patricia Wadsworth, and brother-in-law Edward Wadsworth.
Marguerite is survived by her son Paul and wife (Tammy) Gaudette, daughter Denise (Andy) Grisham, all of Pulaski, TN, daughter Dawn (Don Ward), Juneau, AK and daughter Nicole (Michael) Moore, Lynnville, TN; grandchildren Heath (Anna) Gaudette, Spring Hill, TN, Lauren Gaudette, Brooklyn Gaudette (fiancée Chase Brewer) all of Minor Hill, TN, Briley Gaudette, Hermitage, TN, Dale (Amanda) Inman, Columbia, TN, Andrew Inman, Ethridge, TN, Tristan Fralix (fiancée Trevor Park), Blake (April) Grisham and Blair (Kevin) Burlison, all of Pulaski, TN, Brandon Moore and Kathryn Moore, Lynnville, TN; great-grandchildren Kaylee and Cavan Fralix, Cooper Inman, Kade Kimbrough, Everett Brewer, Emilee Rae Grisham, Aydan and Allisan Burlison, and Aiden and Hadley Vaughn; brother Arthur (Ruth) Albert Ocala, FL, brother Daniel (Lois) Albert, Hebron, CT, and sister Connie (Val) Nichols of Bay Harbor Islands, FL; sister-in-law Pauline Holmes, Enfield, CT; brothers-in-law, Normand Gaudette (Sandy), Dublin, TX, Bill Gaudette (Paula), Calabash, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
The family of Marguerite Gaudette wishes to express their appreciation to Avalon Hospice staff and especially Brooke Willoughby and Sara Holcomb for the exemplary care given and love shown during our mother’s final days.
Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass with Father George Panthanickal, CMI will be 11:00am Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pulaski, Tennessee.
The burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
