Services to celebrate the life of Margie Barnes, 82, will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at Theo Holiness Church with burial to follow in the Community Pentecostal Church.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the church.
Mrs. Barnes passed on January 18, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 10, 1939 to the late Clay and Mildred Lovings Cooper. She worked for Pep Industries and after retiring was mostly a homemaker. She was a member of Theo Holiness Church. She loved reading, taking shopping trips, and going to eat with her sisters, but most importantly she loved being with her family especially her grand and great-grandkids.
She is survived by her son, Harold Barnes (Sheila); daughters, Teresa Wilbanks (Ronald), Vicki Hutson (Mike) and Cindy Prather (Tony); grandkids, Joel Barnes (Lindsay), Dustin Barnes, Stacie Russell (Josh), Josh Wilbanks (Shannon), Haley Barber (Derek), Heather Jourdan (Victor), Harley McCalister (Hunter), Coty Prather (Jessica) and Kayla Brady (Blake); 13 great-grandkids; brothers, William Cooper (Nilean) and Emmitt Cooper; sisters, Jennell Upchurch, Sue Thornton, Barbara Rich (Jimmy), Carolyn Montgomery (Jeff) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold H.E. Barnes; granddaughters, Amanda Barnes and Hunter Hutson; brother, J.T. Cooper and Pat Cooper and a sister, Maxine Moss.
Bro. Ronald Wilbanks and Bro. Jimmy Rich will officiate the services.
Pallbearers will be Josh WIlbanks, Josh Russell, Victor Jourdan, Derek Barber, Blake Brady, Coty Prather and Hunter McCalister. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Barnes, Dustin Barnes, Ayden Wilbanks and Cooper Russell.
Mask are encouraged to be worn during visitation and the funeral.
