Margaret Williamson, fondly known as “Peggy” to family and friends, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 18, 2024 after 88 active and fulfilling years. Born July 20, 1935 in Albany, New York to Edward and Margaret Anderson. Peggy spent her youth in Albany before attending The College of Saint Rose in 1953, New York, where she earned her BS degree in Elementary Education. She met her husband, Andrew Williamson, marrying on December 28, 1957. Peggy focused on family, friends, fitness, dogs, travel and gardening. She was known for her smile, the twinkle in her eye, and a fun sense of humor. They lived in Dunwoody, GA for 49 years.

Peggy is preceded in death by both parents and 2 siblings. She is survived by her three children, Margaret Roberds of Tucker, GA; Erin Woods of Norcross, GA; and Michael (Sheila) Williamson of Starkville, MS. Also, is survived by grandsons, Benjamin (Katie) Roberds of Decatur, GA; McLean “Mac”(Brittany) Williamson of Bartlett, TN; Michael Woods of Norcross, GA; granddaughter Megan Williamson of Oxford, MS; and great granddaughter Willow Roberds of Decatur, GA.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
