Margaret S. Johnson
Margaret was the daughter of the late Willard Johnson Jr & Mary Elizabeth Franklin Johnson of Huntsville Alabama. She was a long time Haymon Home resident in Powell Alabama.
Margaret is survived by her loving sister Anne Penney of Scottsboro Alabama. She passed away peacefully at Collinsville nursing home after a long illness with her sister Anne and nephew Jordan Penney at her bedside.
Margaret is survived by her sister-in-law Mrs. Willard Johnson Jr (Mary Lou). She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Will and Frank Johnson. The surviving and loving family members are nephews Barrett (Kelin) Penney, Jay (Tiana) Penney and Jordan Penney. Also, great nephews Taylor, Owen and Paxton Penney and great niece Isabella Penney.
Special thank you to Enhabit Hospice nurses and Collinsville nursing home for their excellent care. Also, a special thank you to the Haymon home’s staff for 15 years of love and support.
The family will be laying Margaret to rest in the family grave side service at Maple Hill cemetery in Huntsville, AL.
In special recognition, Margaret was one of the first graduates of Lee High School’s Special Education program in Huntsville Alabama. A special memorial scholarship fund will be awarded to a student interested in the field of Special Education.
