Margaret Ruth Turner Freeman, age 89, of Jackson, TN entered her eternal reward on the evening of March 17, 2022 peacefully at her home. A private graveside service will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Trenton, TN on Saturday, March 19th for the family.
Margaret was born on June 22, 1932 to the late Ernest and Willie B. Turner in rural Gibson County, TN. She married her late husband, Jack Freeman, of 68 years on January 24, 1952. As a homemaker, she was a great hostess and always made sure there was plenty of food to eat and a perfectly decorated table to eat it at. She was a woman of strong faith and in her later years was member and attended services at West Jackson Baptist Church. She lived all over the world during Jack’s 20 year career with the Air Force. She loved cats and had a passion for gardening in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her 6 siblings: Harold Turner, Vernon Turner, Dorothy Alford, Demetria Mathis, Mildred Perry and Myra Hooker.
Margaret is survived by two children: Mark Freeman and Virginia (Steve) Ellis. Three grandsons: Casey (Heather) Freeman, Travis (Crystal) Freeman and Josh (Paula) Ellis. Three granddaughters: Wendi Ellis, Christi Ellis and Cami Henline. She will be remembered dearly by her great-grandchildren.
