Margaret Ruth Jones Rhodes age 94 passed away Saturday morning October 8, 2016 at Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born August 27, 1922 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Lee and Chloe Reid Jones. She attended Chester County High School and was married to Clifton Rhodes in 1942.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Middlefork Road Baptist Church (she was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson and sang in the choir for many years).
Mrs. Rhodes is survived by three sons, Dwight Rhodes, Wayne Rhodes and Dennis Rhodes all of Henderson; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clifton Rhodes in September 2000, a son, Miles Rhodes; two sisters, Gladys Stanfill and Mary Woods and a brother, Clyde Jones.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Ronny Geary and Kyle Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery, Jacks Creek, TN.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday.
