Margaret Roland Davis Springer, age 90, passed away on May 6, 2017 in Garland, Texas. She was born on January 31, 1927 in Chester County, TN to Emmitt Forrest Roland and Louise Roland. Margaret was raised in rural Chester County Tennessee.
She married her first husband, John Davis in 1945 and the couple had seven children. They were married until his passing. She married her second husband Robert Springer and they were also married until his passing. She was a hotel Supervisor at Statler Hilton Hotel in Dallas where she worked for more than 25 years.
In her spare time Margaret enjoyed gardening and raising her grandchildren.
Her family and friends will always remember her as the best friend of her children, grandchildren, and friends.
Margaret was known to be the matriarch of a large and loving family. She was the prayer warrior who got all of the family through their trials and tribulations and she never lost faith that the good Lord would take care of her children.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Springer; her parents Emmitt and Louise Roland; her sister Ruby Deberry; and her brothers Woody, Estelle and Norman.
Margaret is survived by her children Pam Brewer, Rex Davis, Stan Davis, Lloyd Davis, Debra Davis, Brenda Ruehle and Mike Davis; two brothers, Charles Roland and Curtis Roland; twenty one grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
