Margaret P Christa, 79, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully January 8, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank G. Christa; son Frankie D. Christa; mother, Belle Hill White; father, Ernest White; sisters, Agnes Lanford, Louis Gardner and Geneva White; and brothers Bud White, Thomas White and Junior White.
She is survived by her daughter Paula Reanee Onder (Alex); son Tracy Dean Christa (Cathy); five grandchildren Amanda Pickens (Scott), Michael Onder (Margie), Benjamin Christa, Elizabeth Christa, and Jacob Christa; and five great-grandchildren Christa Pickens, Bella-Kate Pickens, Shepard Onder, Max Pickens, and Coleman Onder.
Mrs. Christa was born in New Market, AL. She enjoyed spending her summers camping on Guntersville Lake and spending quality time with her family. Her greatest enjoyment of all was hearing stories about her great-grandchildren and watching them play together. This would always bring her joy and put a smile on her face. She retired from Huntsville City Schools in 2006 after serving 25 years in school nutrition at Weatherly Heights Elementary.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville. Services will follow the visitation at 1:00pm with burial in Rice Cemetery.
