Margaret Miles Marks, 91, of Florence, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at her home. She was a retired dietician and housewife. Margaret was a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, March 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.
Margaret was preceded in death by Henry Miles, parents, Vernon and Pearl Pigg; brothers, Eldred, Eugene, Harold, Carlton, and Horace Pigg; sister, Melba Richeson; step-daughter, Laura Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Marks; daughters, Janet Miles McCarley (Steve) and Karol Miles Barton; son, Maury Miles; brother, Jimmy Daniels (Martha), sister, June Barrier (Tom); brother-in-law, Clifford Miles (Helen); sisters-in-law, Margaret Pigg and Barbara Pigg; grandchildren, William “Billy” (Leslie), Daniel (Jennifer), and Nicholas Miles McCarley; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Trapper, Will, John Robert, and Anna Reece McCarley; several cousins, nieces and nephews; step-sons, Mark (Alana) and Phillip Marks (Susan); six step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy, Daniel, and Nic McCarley, Johnathan Marks, Grayson Brown, Tom Barrier, and Jim Daniels.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gentry Pigg, Marold Davis, Daniel Pigg, Derek Pigg, Ryan Barrier, Kerry Barrier, Neal Daniels, Milton Sewell, Marlon Miles, Phillip Miles, Mark Miles, and Bobby Chandler.
