Funeral Services for Margaret Mavleene Kinney Richter, of Cullman will be Thursday January 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Protestant Church with Rev. Dr. John Richter officiating with burial in Cullman City Cemetery. Mrs. Richter will lie in state at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Richter died Monday January 20, 2020 at her home. Surrounded by her family. She was born to Murphy S. Kinney and Altas Runge Kinney on January 8, 1933. Mrs. Richter was very active in her church, she held several jobs including Probate Office and Registration Office. She was loved by all who knew her kind and gentle spirit. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Roy Richter, her parents, her brother, Oden Kinney. Survivors include 2 sons Roy Edward Richter and William Ted (Fharis) Richter; 4 daughters, Maria (Don) Schultz, Helen (Terry) Kent, Ellen (Rick) Fulmer and Jayne Richter. Twelve grandchildren, Jeremy (Traci) Jester, Brandi (Stephen) Phillips, Shanna (Jerrid) Thornton, Nathan (Jennifer) Richter, Quintin Richter, Morganne (Eric) Sweeney, Yvette Kent, Nikki Kent, Erik (Sirinya) Lee, Michael (Amanda) Lee, Calvin Wells and Kathryne (Chris) Striker. Ten great grandchildren, Brandon Richter, Julia and Alice Jester, Caleb Thornton, Abbie Richter, Anna Richter, Sophie Williams, McKayla Lee, Kaden Lee and Ella Lee. Great great granddaughter, Haven Richter. Sister Maybelle (Ken) Mangrum and brother Ollen (Lou) Kinney. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. John’s Church (BTN). Visitation will be Wednesday January 22, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Jester, Erik Lee, Calvin Wells, Michael Lee, Nathan Richter, Quintin Richter and Brandon Richter. Honorary pallbearers will be: Stephen Phillips, Jerrid Thornton, Chris Striker and Eric Sweeney.
