Funeral service for Margaret Laverne Higdon, 87, will be Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM at New Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Smothers officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Higdon died on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at The Terrrace at Priceville. She was born July 13, 1929, in Morgan County to Madison Quinsby Cook and Annie Mattie (Williams) Cook. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and being a homemaker. Her children were her life and she dedicated it to them. She was preceded in death by her husband: Henry Ray Higdon.
