Margaret Knipper Young, age 72, of Bolivar, departed this life Sunday evening, February 21, 2016 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The wife of Joe William Young, who survives, she owned and operated the H & R Block Tax Service in Bolivar. She also had worked for Dr. Pakkala for 20 years and had owned a grocery and supply store in Toone. She was born May 26, 1943, in Middleton, daughter of the late Brodie Hardeman Knipper and Alma Glynn Jones Knipper and lived all of her life in Hardeman County. She married Joe William Young on May 27, 1961 and was a Southern Baptist in belief and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters and a son in law, Joanna Harwood (Paul) of Toone and Kandi Young of Bolivar; two sisters, Brenda Knipper and Donna Holmes, both of Jackson; two brothers and sister in laws, Kenneth (Linda) Knipper of Jackson and Adrian (Peggy) Knipper of Middleton/Jackson; a sister in law, Gloria Knipper of Murfreesboro; 7 grandchildren, Zachary Webb, Connor Kusler, Brenden Harwood (Chentelle) Kyler Harwood (Presley) Callie Harwood, Emma Harwood and Bristol Harwood; two great grandchildren, Sophia Harwood and Elijah Harwood; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Seeley; a brother, Phillip Knipper; a daughter, Cindy Young; and two grandchildren.
