Obituary of Margaret Josephine Davis  Margaret Josephine Davis, 91, of Moulton, Alabama, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 28, 2025.Born on April 7, 1933, in Athens, Alabama, Margaret deeply and unconditionally loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ. Both she and her husband Willie were dedicated members of the True Holiness Apostolic Church in Lawrence County, Alabama, from the first day it opened its doors in September 1995. She loved to praise the Lord with her singing and rarely missed a service.

She is survived by daughters Wilma Stone (George) of Decatur, Alabama,and Martha Friday (Bruce) of Trinity, Alabama. She is also survived by grandchildren Veronica Lampkin, Joseph Friday, Victoria Smith (Samuel),Hailey Owens, and Tommy Owens (Tesla); great grandchildren Peyton Lampkin, Waylon Owens, and Elena Smith. She is survived by her brothers Donnie Thomas of Lakeland, Florida, and Curtis Thomas (Diane) of Athens, Alabama. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces,great nephews, and great nieces. She leaves behind a very dear friend,Barbara Hutto of Moulton, Alabama.Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lee Thomas and Clara Mae Young Thomas of Athens, Alabama, as well as her husband,Willie C. Davis; her son Terry Owens; her grandson-in-law Mirl Lampkin;her brother Walter “Buddy” Thomas; her sister Dorothy Clem; and her sister Marnez McLemore.

A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 2:00 pm at McConnell Funeral Home, Athens, Alabama with the Visitation prior to the service from 1pm to 1:50 pm. Reverends Matthew Jetton and Josh Sparks will officiate, followed by interment at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.

A special thank you to Hospice of the Valley and NHC in Moulton,Alabama, for so graciously taking care of Margaret.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Margaret’s memory to the True Holiness Apostolic Church in Lawrence County or to Hospice of the Valley.
