Margaret Holt Hogan, 91, of Athens, passed away on Friday, June 18th, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Hogan was born on May 27th, 1930, to Bee Vaughan Holt and Errine Swanner Holt.

Mrs. Hogan is survived by her daughters Delores Hogan Thompson (Larry D.) of Athens, AL, and Amelia Hogan Owen (Larry A.) of Elkmont, AL; grandchildren Edric Thompson of Baltimore, MD, and Laurie Owen Johnson (Aaron) of Cullman, AL; great-grandchildren Natalie Johnson, Clay Johnson, Lydia Johnson, and Grant Johnson; brothers Dwight Holt (Sally) of Athens, AL, and Mike Holt (Cindi) of Florida; sisters Edith Davis of Elkmont, AL, and Ada Bee Clem of Elkmont, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hogan was preceded in death by her parents Bee Holt and Errine Holt; her husband Edward E Hogan; and brother Ralph Holt.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hogan will be Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Edric Thompson, Aaron Johnson, and Ned Holt Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:20 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hodges Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Hogan are J.V. McMunn, Jared Bailey, Marcus Hobbs, Michael Bailey, Jimmy Rupp, and Monroe Broadway.

Mrs. Hogan was known for her cooking and baking, gardening and her beautiful flower arrangements. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ and a widow of a World War Two veteran.
