Margaret Emeline McCafferty, age 89, of Livingston, TN, formerly of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and of the Methodist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Florence Henson Norwood; her husband, Orlando F. McCafferty; six brothers, Edward Norwood, Neal Norwood, Stanley Norwood, Harvey Norwood, Clifford Norwood, and Lloyd Norwood; and one sister, Virgie Wairse.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Castro (Randy) of Cookeville, TN, and Vicki Dorris (Bernice) of Smyrna, TN; two sons, Perry McCafferty of Smyrna, TN, and David McCafferty (Joanne) of Murfreesboro, TN; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Thursday, November 16, 2023, with John Horne officiating. Interment will follow at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
