Margaret Dunavin, age 84 of Greenbrier passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at NHC Hendersonville. Funeral Services will be 1pm, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier with Bro. Jack Evans and Bro. Chad Phelan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 4pm to 7:30pm on Tuesday, February 8th and 11am until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
She was born June 16, 1937 in Portland, TN to the late JB and Bertha McDougal Collins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude Dunavin; son, Wayne Dunavin; sisters, Evelyn Dorris, Juanita Adcock and Catherine Webb and Marie Paris.
She was a retired Bookkeeper with United Methodist Publishing House and was a 50 year plus member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
She loved her family very much and spending time with them were most important to her. She enjoyed her time attending church, traveling and reading.
She is survived by children, Teri (Terry) Baird of Springfield, Jeff Dunavin of Lewisburg, TN; brother, Theodore Collins of Greenbrier; sister, Barbara McLean of Greenbrier; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church Building Fund and may be mailed to Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier, 2619 Hwy 41 S., Greenbrier, TN 37073. Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier is in charge of arrangements.
