Margaret Daniel Jackson passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Birmingham, Alabama. She was 90 years old.
Mrs. Jackson was born and raised in Lauderdale County, and resided there for most of her life. She married Buford D. Jackson, also a native of Lauderdale County, and together they raised two children. She was a long-time member of Highland Baptist Church, in Florence.
Visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Reverand Sammy Gilbreath officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents: William A. Daniel and Minnie Broadfoot Daniel; husband: Buford D. Jackson; brother: William A. Daniel; sisters: Willodean Coonrod, Valreen Carson, Geneva Rash, and Virginia Cornett.
She is survived by her children: Jo Lynn Perkins (Jack) of Birmingham, and Buford (Jack) Jackson, Jr. (Deborah); grandchildren: Lisa Hulman (Brad) of Huntsville, Buford (Jackie) Jackson, III (Jennifer), Leslie Risner (Keith) of Center Star, Mary Perkins, of Birmingham, and Karie Phillips (Brad) of Florence; great-grandchildren: Jackson Hulman, Logan Hulman, Carter Jackson, Kyra Risner, Klay Risner, and Jack Carson Phillips.
Pallbearers will be: Paul Varner, Joe Lynch, Brad Hulman, Buford (Jackie) Jackson, III, Carter Jackson, and Keith Risner.
Margaret Jackson had great love for her church and her family. She always made everyone feel as though they had known her for years, rather than only a few minutes. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
