Mrs. Margaret Christine Murray, 87, passed away December 13, 2018 at her residence in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. A native of Haleyville, Alabama, she had lived in Muscle Shoals for the past four years after spending her adult life in Russellville, Alabama. She was a housewife and a member of Tharptown Baptist Church.
Visitation with family and friends will be Monday, December 17, 2018 at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon. Services will begin at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be
at Tharptown Cemetery, Russellville.
Mrs. Murray is survived by her children: Dr. Gerald Murray and Karen Murray Franks (Rick); siblings: Helen Barnett (Glenn), Hazel Storm, Gail Lowman (Jerry Ted), and Wendell Crumpton (Joyce); four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Nieces, nephews, and friends also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Hubert Murray; her parents, Huel Crumpton and Mattie McCreary; two sisters, Janice Crumpton and Earline Cutter, and one grandson, Chance Vandiver.
The family expresses a special thanks to Keller Hospice and staff including Diane, Michelle, and Grace for the care given to their loved one. Sincere thanks also to Michelle Kimbrough, her very dedicated, private sitter, who gave her constant care and attention.
