Margaret Ann Russell Wiles

Margaret Ann Russell Wiles entered the kingdom of Heaven on November 4, 2021 in Dallas, Georgia. She was born on October 7, 1936 to Floyd and Missouri Russell. She lived most of her life in Franklin County. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, nurse and friend. She chose to be a nurse and attended college in Calhoun. She rode a school bus to get to school. In her era education did not come easy, but she had her mind set to it and she did it all on her own. After graduation she worked in labor and delivery at Colbert County Hospital for a short time. It was not long before she began working for Dr. Burns in his newly established nursing home. She spent her career working for Dr. Burns and his family. She was an excellent nurse and was respected by many for her compassion and knowledge. Outside of her career she loved her family and she loved them well. She was the last of her siblings to survive. It does our heart good to know that she is reunited with her parents and siblings. Her brothers and sister, Adrein Russell, James Russell, Carl Russell and Martha Russell Vandiver and her sweet granddaughter Bethany Stidham.
Her survivors include son Danny Dill, son Randy Mayfield (Christy), daughter Patti Stidham (Danny). She has three grandchildren Mandy Hittle
(Michael), Daniel Dill and Mirandy McGill. She had 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Pall bearers are Larry Wells, Jack Senkowitz, Dillon Smith, Jarrod Pierce, Daniel Dill and Russ Stephenson.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to gift a nursing scholarship to a deserving graduate of the 2022 class at RHS. Please pay to Citizens Bank in Margaret Wiles Memorial Account.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville with funeral service to follow at 1:30 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
