Margaret Ann McMullen Criddle, 71, passed away at her residence on Monday, August 19, 2024. She was born in Monroe County on November 28, 1952 to the late Warren and Mary Kate Seymore McMullen. Margaret was a graduate of Amory High School and also earned a degree in Health Information Technology. Margaret married Eddie Criddle on July 4, 1978. She worked several years at NMMC in Tupelo as a medical records clerk and later retired from Fresenius Kidney Care in Aberdeen. After retirement, Margaret went back to work managing several apartment complexes for Alco Management. Margaret enjoyed cooking, crocheting and spending each moment she could with her grandchildren. She was a devoted Christian and attended Friendship Baptist Church in Aberdeen where she sang in the choir in her younger years. Margaret was a humble servant of Jesus Christ, recognizing that it was by God’s grace she was saved. She was often described as pure in heart and selfless, as she always lived her life for others and strived each day to represent Jesus Christ as best that she could.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Eddie Criddle, Wren; children, Monica Jones Simmons (Tracy), Houston and Chuck Jones, Wren; stepchildren, June Linley (Johnny), Houston and Donna Clark (Bill), Houston; brother, Paul McMullen (Linda), Amory; grandchildren, Cara Scott, Dylan Jones, Charles Jones, Sarah Simmons, Stephen Simmons, Micah Simmons, John Russell Linley, Tina Griffin, Taylor Moore and Bro. Will Livingston; great grandchildren, Kylan Jones, Waylon Jones, Jaxon Scott, Reid Scott, Teagan Green, Leighton Camille Simmons, Millie Moore, Tallin Moore, Emma Grace Griffin, Jessy Griffin and Weston Livingston, Elliot Linley; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Madison Linley; sisters, Linda Fay Jackson and Martha Sue Butler.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Friendship Baptist Church in Aberdeen with Bro. Todd Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening at Cleveland Moffett Funeral home in Amory from 5pm until 7pm.
